1. How VLSI Internship at GRID is different ?

We are Research & Development Company .We provide Internship for freshers. interns will work with industry projects with complete hands on exposure, developing both projects verification environment from scratch with Team Leader guidance.
Our interns strength does not exceed 10-12 per shift.
all the projects covers VIP(Verification IP) & OVC development session for above protocols and also includes ARM Processor architecture, SoC Verification Concepts, PERL. All these aspects used in the industry.

All the jobs in VLSI industry at 0 - 7 year experience level does not require expertise in complete VLSI flow. The engineer is not expected to work on complete flow during initial 0-7 years of experience. Focus on complete flow does more harm than helping engineer career, with reduced focus on a specific aspect. Job require specialization in one of the aspect below, and jobs can be categorized as below :

• Marketing team

A job aspirant should focus on one of above aspects to get in to the industry, while gaining more expertise on the chosen aspect by extensive focus, rather than doing Training on complete flow .
Our R&D and Training center specifically focus on VHDL & VERILOG and Basic of System Verilog with complete focus on SoC concepts, IP, Bridge & Controller protocols, On-Chip and Peripheral bus protocols, HVLs, Methodology and PERL. The fact that 60% of industry jobs are based on Front End (VHDL , VERILOG) and functional verification, helps our interns find it quite easy to get in to the industry.

Long Term Internship:
Embedded Systems :
Duration: 3 Months 12 Months
Admission through Written Test and Interview .

VLSI Design :
Duration: 3 Months 12 Months
Admission through Written test and Interview.

Mobile Application - Android :
Duration: 3 Months 12 Months
Admission through Written test and Interview.

3. What is the eligibility to pursue Embedded systems & VLSI Design Internship ?

Diploma , BE/B.Tech (ECE,EEE,EIE,CSE,IT); MCA; MSc (CS, Electronics, Instrumentation, Physics with specialization in electronics); M.Tech (Electronics, CS).

4. Admission procedure
The admission in to Embedded Sys and VLSI design Internship is through an Written Exam conducted at Head Office Center. Candidates have to visit the website for the exam dates and register online.Working professionals with Relevant Experience are eligible for Direct Admission. If candidates from Outside of Bangalore they can directly give a Interview on Telephone after that they can go for Registration . 10.What is the Syllabus for Admission Test? Is there any negative marking?

If the candidates are from outside of Bangalore, they can directly face our telephonic interview. After that they can proceed for Registration.

5. What is the Syllabus for Admission Test? Is there any negative marking?

The test Syllabus for Embedded System is:
• Basics of C programming
• Microprocessor 8085/ 8086
• Digital electronics
• General Aptitude

The test Syllabus for VLSI Design is:
(Both Subjective & Objective Type Questions)

• Analog & Digital Electronics
• Microprocessor 8085/ 8086
• Network Analysis
there is no negative marking.

6. What is the procedure for seat confirmation for Local & Non local candidates? Is the fee paid Refundable?

Candidates in the local areas can directly contact the Administrative office for the admissions process. Non local candidates can send a DD in favor of GRID Bangalore. Fee Once paid is Non Refundable and Non Transferable.
7. What is the eligibility criterion for placements?

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for placement assistance.

CRITERIA ELIGIBILITY
Attendance 75% and above in Lab & Theory
Weekly/Monthly Module Theory and Lab Exams 40% and above in each
Mock Interview & Assessment Interview Recommendation (Mandatory)


The eligibility criteria decided by the participating companies has to be met. Companies look for minimum cut off percentage in final Degree, Internal assessment Tests, Interviews during the course. The overall performance in the Internal Exams, Technical & HR mock interviews are considered as the short listing criteria for placements.

Some companies also look for strong academic performance throughout career. Candidates having 60% and above in the final degree and clearing the internal assessment tests/ Interviews are the ones eligible for majority companies.

8. Placement Opportunities for Backlog students & 8th semester students.

Students with backlogs can pursue the Internship, but should have their Back Logs cleared to be eligible for the placements. 8th semester students will be eligible for the placements after the completion of their final degree.

9. Accommodation for Out Station candidates?

Hostels and paying guest accommodations are available in vicinity of the Company, for both boys & girls. The cost of these accommodations with food ranges from 3500/- to 5800/-. The over all living cost in Hyderabad is cheaper as compared to other metros.
